Well… that’s a week I’d like to forget…
Monday took me to the dentist, pre-booked appointment, filling, all good… or so I thought! Until the numbness wore off and I found myself reaching for the pain killers.
In the meantime, on a rummage looking for something else I found the most amazing little book that the tooth fairy brought to me when I lost one of my baby teeth. It’s a miniature story book, with a good sturdy cardboard cover and a full colour illustrated story about Susie Squirrel gathering her winter food when she trips and falls into Wonderland. There she meets Peppercorn the Pixie who takes her on a journey to meet the Queen of the Fairies, Queen Titarnia. The Queen invited her to stay for food, and an Orchestra played before she went home. Delving further I have discovered that the little book was printed in 1968… I was probably on my way when a certain tooth fairy squirreled that book away!
By Thursday the pain had not subsided in my tooth, so I rang my lovely dentist (she really is nice, promise) and she invited me back for an emergency appointment…
The offending tooth has now been removed, but the tooth fairy didn’t come to me this time…
