“A Stake In The Community” – Author Event

Discover the World Behind A Stake in the Community

To ensure his novel was both accurate and credible, Melvyn took the opportunity to engage directly with a number of vampires and therians (people who believe they share their body with an animal).

Willing to share their experiences, they helped Melvyn explore their beliefs and way of life, whilst challenging some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding these communities.

Vampires and therians are very much part of our world, but perhaps not quite as you might imagine from the classic Hammer Horror films!

Join Melvyn as he takes you on a fascinating journey into their world, explaining how it all works and bringing the subject to life through readings from his novel, A Stake in the Community.

Come along, discover the story behind the story, and follow Melvyn’s journey!
